Hi again guys. =-) I had a couple cents to interject again... I think the reason "the enemy" seems to have no regard for life is because of the whole honorable death in combat thing that you guys talked of. I think they believe that the person died honorably in service to their god and so will be honored in the afterlife. For a good example think about the way that the indians (i.e. Native Americans) were thought of by the settlers who thought they were so much more civilized, when in turn the indians believed that they were the more civilized. Who was right? They say that the victors write history from their veiwpoint and the stories of those who are defeated are forgotten or lost forever. This is true of every culture/people that have ever been defeated. Their stories have been twisted so far as to be unrecognizable, much the same way as the cultures that have been "subjugated" by christianity have been lost.

Awesome show guys! I liked the interview. @Drake: It's funny to see how history played out. The Native Americans of the New England-ish area were on the verge of forming their own version of "The United States" before white folks came around and put an end to that. It's funny to see the white folks wind up eventually doing the same thing the Natives were attempting to do. All I have to say is Native Americans gave the gift of Tobacco (and thus widespread Lung Disease) to the world. Who do you think *really* won ;)?

I usually enjoy your show. It's a really great panel of people and discussion. However, quite early on, something said quite upset me. "Sexuality and Religion shouldn't mix." I know it's being taken out of context a bit (as you all were talking about the nude images on PaganSpace) but I did get the impression that it was meant beyond that. Sexuality and religion shouldn't mix?! Since when shouldn't it?! Sexuality and religion SHOULD go hand in hand. The Catholic Church was mentioned (a rather lewd comment, by the way) for it's indiscretions, and that's obviously coming from the SUPPRESSION of sexuality in religion. Dianic Wicca, a glorious expression of feminine sexuality in the soul of women and in turn the Great Mother Goddess, does not cut off and limit sexuality to being out of the faith practice. The GLBT community and Pagan community have gone hand in hand across the nation. Let's talk about the Feri Community, primarily based in and around San Francisco. Sexuality is the CORE of Feri, for sexuality is expressed not only between human-human but between the Divine and humanity. Society has limited the thinking of culture, and expression of sexuality in a tasteful setting is an act of beauty and of the Divine. Again, I took it out of context a bit, but it was said definitively and factually. Just because modern Christianity scorns sexuality doesn't mean it should bleed into Neo-Paganism. I think The Great Rite and it's rich history in Pagan history speaks enough for sexuality in religion, and it should most definitely go hand in hand. I apologize if the comment wasn't meant in quite this way, but being a young pansexual male of an eclectic faith this comment seemed unwarranted and ignorant of the Pagan community. Signed, Daschenel

@Daschenel: You may wish to look at the comment I left for Episode 10. I don't think it's so much the mixing of faith with sexuality that is a problem so much as sexuality taking dominance over faith in various Pagan communities to the point where some now think "It's Pagan to be Polyamourous" or "It's Pagan to be Bisexual" - there's nothing wrong with incorporating your sexuality into a sexual faith such as Wicca. However, there's a point where it goes too far and the open-mindedness of Pagan and Pagan beliefs towards sexuality become abused. I can't speak for the MMPP crew, but as a person that frequently agrees with their mindset towards these issues, I figured I'd give my own two cents.

To Dave of PCP. Please feel free to speck your mind my friend. You give me hope for the future of Paganism. To Daschenel. First off I want to thank you for your comment. But I do have to say that in today's age there are to maney people that are useing sexuality in Religion just to get into other people's pants. And I have seen it time and time agan where it has gone to the point of all kinds of abuse (mental, physical, and spiritual) with my oun eyes. And to be blind to the idea that there are people out there in all Religions that abuse sexuality under the name of Religion is what is going to bring the "Law" down on all of us to the point that laws are going to be put in place so that sex and Religion when comeined can get you fined or jailed or bouth. I know Wicca has rules in place that says that the "Great Right" is not to happen ever between two people. I my self think that is a good idea. Becouse I understand that HIV kills and does not show up in every test, hents the reason that testing for it is 7 years long for thows that are high risk for it. I know this becouse I am an ex-EMT. Your fath nor condoms will not stop you from getting any STDs wile you are haveing sex in a Ritual or at anyother time. I stand firm that sex and Religion do not make good bed parteners becouse of the abuse that seems to walk hand in hand with it as well as it places people in a high risk of getting STDs. Now to the sexuality as far as being "Polyamourous or Bisxual or Pansexual". Thows are sexual lifestile choices not Religion choises. End of story on that one. Now to my thoughts on Dianic orders. To place the God before the Goddess there is no balance, The same can then be said if you place the Goddess before the God. I have seen time and time agan that in Dianic orders where there is no place for the God and only to the Goddess. It is the same in another Religion called the Calthoilc Church where thay give thanks and prase to the God but no Goddess. And if you can not give prase to bouth and in the same light then there is no balance in the one that is giving prase or in there Religion. Now to your statement that you got "upset". Well it is good that you got upset with what was said by us. If you did not then you was not thinking for your self and if you don't think for your self then please don't downlode our show. When people get upset to me it means that there thinking. Then when thay calm down and start thinking there way threw what thay just heard then thay may start to see things in a new light or point of view. That point of view may not be the same as ours but it gets them thinking more about there ideas, there way of things. And thats a good thing in my book. I want to once agan thank you all for your comments and please keep them comming.

To Dake. The disregard to human life that the enemy has that we was talking about is. Thay went threw a town with a list of names people that was to join the local police deparment and Iraq army and went door to door draged the people and there famley (Wife and kids) and cut there heads off in the middle of the street for all to see. Then placed there bodys in the middle of the town. That was tolded to me by someone that was there and seen the bodys and blood all over the place. Seeing things like that and far worse takes it's tole on a persons sole. I have talked to many that have been there as well as that are there that seen much of this kind of stuff. I will say we are not for the war but we are for the troops and we are not for anyone that has that kind of disregard for life. I want to thank you for your comment and we hope you enjoy the our show. Ron
